Kozhikode: Rolf Saligman, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany told the other day that the facilities available and quality of education in German Universities are higher than that of USA.
He was addressing a meeting organized by the Malabar Chamber of Commerce in the city. He added that the educational field was the most unexplored one in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The language was the biggest bottleneck in the field of education; but said that there are institutions in Germany where English has been introduced in the curriculum.
At present visas are issued from their Chennai office. Shortly their Bangaluru consulate will start issuing visas.
The trade relations between India and European nations were governed by the European Union and individual nations could not have special policies, the consul general told.
