May be there is an awakening in the minds of our top leaders of political parties of the state. They now feel that bandhs and hartals are not solutions to the various problems. They only give troubles to the general public and wastage of national resources.
M Vijayakumar,Law Minister the other day told in the assembly that the government was planning to hold talks with leaders of various political parties on a draft bill to regulate hartals and bundhs in the state. He told that state government could not take any unilateral decision in this matter.
A commission headed by Justice V R Krishna Iyer had recommended regulating hartals in the state.

Dr Partasarathi told the award was for the contributions in major areas like good agricultural practice,application of GIS in spice diversity, introduction of office automation software, excellent transfer of technology and conservation of largest germplasm and microbial collection in the world.
This is the second time IISR is being recognized as the best ICAR institution. The institute received award in 1999.
The award includes a citation and cash prize.
Prof K V Thomas, Minister of State for Agriculture, Dr M S Swaminathan M P were among those present on the occasion.

The study is expected to be completed within six months. .Industries minister Elamaram Kareem met DMRC MD E.Sreedharan in Delhi and discussed the proposed project.
The feasibility study will cover factors like the route to be followed for the corridor, the towns to be touched, time required for completing the project, and the anticipated cost of construction said Sreedhran.
According to preliminary assessment, the high speed track will need a formation width of about 20m.

Gradually they added more machines and employees and sales went up.
Cheryl now feels that she has done a correct thing in quitting her job and starting a company of her own. She is able to give employment to some women and at the same time earn some profit out of it.
